Market Comment of 12/06//07 Most definitely a buyers market around the Monterey Bay area. Nothing very different is happening since my last market update. We are seeing fewer homes on the market, but this may just be a seasonal trend. We are seeing foreclosures, in more numbers than anybody would like to see, and that is keeping prices down or declining in some areas. Don't be mistaken, homes are still selling, and people are still buying, and loans are still getting funded. An interesting statistic that I have noticed is that on many of my graphs the median prices, prices for Nov 2007 are above the median price from November of 2006. Not a big number, but an increase is better than a decrease.

As I have been tracking the notice of defaults filed, I have noticed they have stopped setting new records, but it's not staying at a low rate either.
